It's all About Beeswax Wraps in our Home- Nature Bee Wraps!
My mom is a huge advocate for ending single use plastics. She has done so much to protect our oceans and supported many organizations over the years who are trying to keep single use plastics out of landfills and the oceans. My mom introduced me to beeswax wraps a few years ago. It was the very first zero-waste swap we made in our home and after the first use we were hooked!
We have tried a few different companies and have found that (we have to admit,) it’s best to purchase from a company that has worked very hard at perfecting the recipe and sourcing ethical materials. A well made wrap will have the perfect amount of stickiness, will be easy to mold around your food or container, and stays put. With proper care your beeswax wraps should last about a year!

What are beeswax wraps? They are an all natural reusable food wrap- no more plastic/saran wrap! They are made from 100% cotton, beeswax, pine tree resin, and jojoba oil. They come in all shapes, sizes and patterns! Beeswax wraps are a non-toxic way to store your food and help reduce food waste in your home. Want to know our favourite part? They are compostable at the end of their life! Yes, truly a zero waste option.
We came across Nature Bee Beeswax wraps last year and we fell in love with the designs and the quality. They are our go to colourful beeswax company and their fun designs and patterns bring a little fun into your our kitchen. The patterns are so cute and we like to match patterns with different personalities when we are gifting them. You can even get your logo printed on them if you’re a business!
We use Nature Bee wraps daily, there’s always 1-3 in our fridge at all times. Our top three ways we use the wraps each day are:
1. Wrapping bread, the large wraps can cover a whole loaf of bread and now that we get fresh bread delivered we have to store it properly.
2. Wrapping an avocado we have started, and
3. To cover Quinn’s bowl of food he didn’t finish at lunch time (the food struggle with kids is real!).
There’s so many uses for them that it’s truly endless. You can mold them into a snack pack to add nuts for on the go, wrap your sandwich for lunch or cover a large bowl you’re bringing to a dinner party. We wash them in cold water with our Swedish clothes and hang them to dry on the drying rack.

Nature Bee wraps are handcrafted, folded and packaged right here on Vancouver Island, Canada. The average Nature Bee customer is helping to remove 900 to 3,600 pieces of plastic wrap from our oceans and landfills each year. That’s a big difference you can feel good about!
Let’s reduce single use plastics together and inspire sustainable practices with our children, friends & family!
