We started our journey last year to create a sustainable and conscious home and lifestyle for our family. It began by evaluating what we own and rethinking our consumer habits…We wanted to make more purposeful choices for our home. When you take the time to make more conscious choices you feel empowered and in control of your life. At least we did! We felt more in control of our finances (saving money!!), less waste was leaving our home, and we began to lead a more environmentally conscious lifestyle.

I often hear that living sustainably is more expensive, and it can be, but there are ways to make your money go further when you purchase quality products. When I look around our home, I see sustainable goods that were made ethically, cruelty free and that are kinder to the planet. Each item has meaning, a use and a purpose. We all need/want things, some are more essential than others but humans like to consume. Living consciously has to be a priority and it’s very liberating when you start to live it!
